NEW YORK (Sports Network) - For the first time since the process began in 1974, there will be no arbitration hearings in Major League Baseball.

Baltimore and pitcher Darren O’Day officially agreed to a deal on Monday. The Orioles right-hander had been the last of 133 players that filed for arbitration to work out a new contract.

The previous record low for arbitration hearings had been three, first set in 2005 and matched in 2009 and 2011. The process had reached its peak in 1986 when 35 cases were heard by a panel of judges.
